Hi, everyone! My name is Jillian Bartholomew or “Ms. B” and I am so excited to be back at Ashlawn! I am happy to say that I will be at Ashlawn full-time this year. This is my second year as a Speech Language Pathologist with Arlington Public Schools. I grew up right here in Arlington, Virginia and am a proud alum of Arlington Public Schools. I went on to get my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Disorders at the University of Virginia (go hoos!). I also received my Masters in Speech Language Pathology from George Washington University. In my free time, I enjoy watching TV, reading, crafting, baking, and going on walks with my fiancé!

Hello, I am Mr. Diaz! I will be the special education teacher for 2nd grade this year and I am looking forward to working with you! I have been teaching for 7 years now: 2 years in Memphis, TN and 3 years in Washington, D.C., and now this is my second year at Ashlawn. I am very excited to be a part of this amazing community. Fun facts about myself: I went to George Mason University, I am a HUGE New York Giants fan, I have 3 dogs: Ruby, Mati, and Jade, and my favorite type of book is a mystery book (Hardy Boys, Encyclopedia Brown, A to Z Mysteries).
