Ms. Morinatu Fafunwa
Hello, my name is Ms. Morina, and I am so excited to be the VPI teacher this year. I grew up in Massachusetts, here in Arlington, and the Philippines before moving to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University. I graduated from VCU with a Sociology and Social Welfare degree; and later became certified to teach primary (3-6) Montessori. I have previous experience teaching at a Montessori school in Richmond, but this will be my first year teaching with APS. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my dog Coco, reading, or doing anything arts and crafts related. I love to see all the progress that students can make in a year and I am looking forward and so happy to be teaching your children at Ashlawn!

My name is Millie Jimenez. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education, bachelors in Psychology and masters in Special Education, Early Childhood. I I enjoy being out exploring, shopping, eating out and Latin dancing! My favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar because it has a variety of concepts. My favorite part of teaching at Ashlawn is being surrounded by loving co-workers and students and feeling a sense of family unity.
