Black History Month Periodic Table

We’re exploring a Black History Month Periodic Table. You may have seen a periodic table in science—it’s a big chart that organizes all the elements in the world. Instead of science elements, this one organizes important Black leaders, artists, scientists, inventors, and heroes who helped shape our country.

Each square on the chart stands for a person and shows their picture, name, and what they are known for. Just like scientists use charts to understand the world, we can use this chart to learn about people who made amazing contributions.

This helps us remember that history is made by many different people, and that their ideas, creativity, and courage help all of us today.”“When we explore the chart, we can discover new people we’ve never learned about before and understand how they help inspire us. You might find someone who loved science, someone who created art, someone who worked for fairness, or someone who invented something we still use today.
