Unity Day is being celebrated on this day throughout APS and nationwide.
WEAR AND SHARE ORANGE Send a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.
October is Bullying Prevention month, and the National Bullying Prevention Center recognizes October 16 as “Unity Day.” The call to action is simple—to wear and share the color orange—as a tangible representation of the supportive, universal message that our society wants to prevent bullying, and is united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Because Ashlawn has picture day scheduled for the 16th, we will celebrate Unity Day on Thursday, Oct. 17th by wearing our orange!
